May 19 Jolly Rogers Fishing Update

There continues to be fun fishing out of Port Renfrew. Salmon was the focus last week, with a great run of Chinook salmon passing through. The spring salmon were mostly 10-20 pounds, but we did get one 28 pounder. Some good reel screaming action for early season. Here's JR with sons Finn and Sonny.

Dale from Darwin Australia was aboard for his first west coast Vancouver Island fishing trip, and came home with a few nice ones, as well as some tasty Dungeness Crabs. He'll be back to chase some halibut later in summer, when Swiftsure Bank gets going again.

Speaking of which....it shouldn't be long now for some offshore adventures, June is just around the corner.
